The November big triple; weather, time, and politics has left her mark. Her cold three-slap, welcomed or not, revives us. We gather for her many holidays, in celebration or reflection, somehow distinctly changed. Our energy is different, and if November did her job well, for the better.

She renews us with her brisk air, hour-earlier mornings, and spotlights issues or ideals previously overlooked. She tamed my late-night, workaholic beast, reconnected my social life, and introduced me to new opinions to consider.

Despite her chilly early dusk on Thanksgiving, we will gather our loved ones no matter our distances, differences, or cost. Her season transformed us into less of me and more of we.

Well done, November, well done.
