November’s big triple; weather, time, and politics has left her mark. Her cold three-slap revived us and left us distinctly changed. We gathered for her many holidays, in celebration or reflection, with our energies different. And if November did her job well, we will be different for the better.

She renewed us with her brisk air, hour-earlier mornings, and spotlights on issues or ideals previously overlooked. She tamed my late-night, workaholic beast, reconnected my social life, and introduced me to new opinions to consider.

Despite her chilly early dusk on Thanksgiving, we will gather our loved ones no matter our distances, differences, or cost. Her season transformed us into less of me and more of we.

Well done, November, well done.
